Moms Demand Supporting Same Gun Control Bill as Sandy Hook Promise

Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- On April 22 2015, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Everytown for Gun Safety attended an Oregon House Rules Committee hearing in support of Senate Bill 941—the same gun control bill being supported by Sandy Hook Promise, the group for whom Tim McGraw is raising money on July 17 2015.

As Breitbart News previously reported, SB 941 will outlaw private gun sales in the state of Oregon by requiring that all sales—whether private or retail—be conducted through a government background check. These checks will add a fee to all sales, ostensibly to cover the background check, and will also broaden the state’s powers to legally confiscate firearms from Oregon residents.

The background check aspect of SB 941 is being pushed in response to the 2012 attack on the Clackamas Town Center, in which two were killed before the gunman took his own life.
