Mom, There’s A Mountain Lion In The Window

KUTV– A mother didn’t initially believe her child who said there was a mountain lion in the family’s window well, but after checking, saw the child was right and called Washington City police.

The mother placed a board over the well to prevent the animal’s escape. It was still in the well when the Division of Wildlife Resources responded to her call and shot the animal with a dart. Once asleep, the animal was caged and taken to a wilderness location and released according to Teresa Griffin with the DWR.

Imagine waking up to that. Better yet, imagine being the kid that told their mom a mountain lion was in the window well. That child can basically say whatever they want now and mom has to believe it.

Also, how do you decide who hops down in that window well with a mountain lion that someone threw a pallet on top of minutes before. That’s basically a worst case scenario if the big cat isn’t knocked out.
