Mom & 3 Kids Victims of Home Invasion from 4 Intruders: Should Have Been a DGU

Gun control laws don’t stop home invasions, but it’s often a homeowner with a gun keeps these violent criminals from becoming repeat offenders.

I wish this story would have been a DGU (defensive gun use), but it illustrates why so many people are choosing to defend themselves rather than wait 10-30 minutes for the police to show up at the door after the fact.

In this case it was 4 men who charged into a home where a mom and 3 kids lived.

The 35-year-old woman told police four men invaded her home on Harlow Streeet.

The mother was out early Thursday evening with her 1-year-old and returned home when she noticed a bedroom was in disarray.

She told police two masked men were in the bedroom and demanded money from the woman, before escorting her and the baby into a bathroom.

The 14-year-old and 7-year-old heard their mother scream and when they came out of their bedrooms, two other men interfered and forced them into the same bathroom as their mother and baby.

The men took off with the mother’s jewelry. After they fled, the mother drove to the police station.
