MidwayUSA Celebrates 38th Anniversary

Columbia, MO -(AmmoLand.com)- June 18, 1977, under the name Ely Arms, Inc., MidwayUSA Founders Larry and Brenda Potterfield opened a small retail gun shop specializing in the sale of new and used guns, ammunition, reloading supplies and equipment, and handgun accessories.

Over time, the Potterfield’s shifted their focus from walk-in retail to mail order, eventually building what is now a successful online retailer of Just About Everything for Shooting, Reloading, Gunsmithing and Hunting. This week MidwayUSA celebrates its 38th year of business, and 38 years of serving Customers.

“Our Employees play a vital role in providing the products and service that our Customers want and deserve, so we celebrate this occasion each year,” said Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA. “Of course there’s a cake and all around congratulations for another year in the books – but there’s more to the story.
