Michigan NRC’s J.R. Richardson Talks About Multiple Topics on The Ryan Report
Michigan -(Ammoland.com)- Michigan Natural Resources Commission Vice Chairman J.R. Richardson of Ontonagon will be the guest of program host Don Ryan on Sunday’s 7:30 a.m. broadcast of “The Ryan Report” on WLUC-TV6 in Marquette.
The 30-minute public affairs talk show examines current events and issues around Upper Michigan.
Richardson previously served as Michigan Natural Resources Commission chairman. He is one of two Upper Peninsula natives on the commission, and he is the longest-serving member of the current panel. NRC Chairman John Matonich of Davison is originally from Bessemer.
The Michigan Natural Resources Commission regulates the taking of sportfish and game in Michigan and is authorized to designate game species. Members serve staggered four-year terms. The panel travels to the U.P. once each year to meet. The sessions are open to the public.
In his guest appearance on “The Ryan Report,” Richardson discusses several topics including his background, the effects of recent winters on the Upper Peninsula deer population, predators, efforts to preserve deer wintering habitat, the U.P. citizens’ advisory councils and Family Friendly Fishing Waters.
