Q: How often should I clean my handgun?

A: You should regularly clean your handgun, as directed by your Operator’s Guide. Most Operator’s Guides will, at a minimum, instruct you to clean your handgun after every usage. Further, if you maintain your marksmanship skills by practicing at an approved range at least once per month, you will be cleaning your handgun at least 12 times per year.
