Yesterday, a package of bills were introduced in the Michigan Legislature which would remove the requirement to obtain a concealed pistol license (CPL) in order to lawfully carry a firearm. These bills would also make the current licensing system optional to allow citizens to obtain a license and take advantage of reciprocity agreements with other states.
