Media Eruption Over Charges Against Gun Control Lobbyist

U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- A July 1 court appearance has reportedly been scheduled for prominent New Hampshire lobbyist Robert Blaisdell, whose clients include the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, on charges relating to domestic violence, according to various published reports.

Everytown for Gun Safety is considered one of the nation’s wealthiest gun control lobbying organizations, the brainchild of anti-gun billionaire and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The Action Fund supports politicians and gun control campaigns, including anti-gun-rights Initiative 1639 in Washington State last year. That campaign received $450,000 in cash and another $59,500 “in-kind” contribution from the Action Fund, according to the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission.

The New Hampshire Union Leader seemed to play down the charges, reporting that Blaisdell faces “three misdemeanor domestic-related complaints” that were “lodged against him” earlier this month. Other media referred to them as “domestic violence-related.” The charges reportedly include false imprisonment and in either case, it’s an embarrassing situation for the partner in one of New Hampshire’s top lobbying firms, especially one who represents not only the nation’s wealthiest gun prohibition lobbying organizations but also has represented law enforcement organizations.
