Masked Man Fatally Shot After Attacking Mother Beside Her Child

Riviera Beach Police are investigating a defensive shooting at the Indian Trace Apartment Complex. A call came in to 911 around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived they found one person shot dead and wearing a mask according to CBS 12 News.

This was along the 1000 block of Indian Trace Circle.

Three other people were also there: a man they identified as the shooter, a woman (the shooter’s girlfriend) who reported being the victim in a domestic-related attack, and a 3-year-old child.

Police say Xavier Alexander Cabrera admits to shooting the masked man, his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend. That masked man is now identified as Marcus J. Graham.

Officers say their initial investigation shows Graham attacked his ex-girlfriend, slamming her into pavement and choking her.

She was getting out of a vehicle with her child, the 3-year-old, at the time.

Police say when Mr. Cabrera defended his girlfriend, Graham threatened to kill him. Cabrera says he shot Graham because of the threat.

No one else was injured in the shooting. Riviera Beach Police are still investigating.
