Man Running Security Company Arrested For Stolen Valor, Felony Gun Possession

SAN JUAN COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A Farmington area man running a security company has been arrested for stolen valor and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

A criminal complaint says Anthony Gambino was arrested Thursday by Homeland Security agents.

Gambino, 43, owns and operates a company called ‘Gambino Security Safety Corporation,’ which boasts itself online as a company that trains people for tactical situations, to include law enforcement and military, and provides security.

Homeland Security agents say Gambino is formerly known as “Anthony Martinez.” Turns out, he’s a convicted felon in New Mexico under that name.

In 1993, he was convicted of commercial burglary, failure to appear in court on a felony and fraud. He didn’t serve time for these crimes. But he did serve time for another felony conviction in 1997 out of La Plata County, Colorado.

He was convicted of “menacing involving a deadly weapon” and went to prison for a year and half.
