Man charged after accidental discharge in grocery store (VIDEO)

A mishap with a gun at a grocery store in University City, Missouri, Sunday evening left one man with a gunshot wound to his leg and now facing charges.
Police say the man went into Schnuck’s grocery store around 5 p.m. carrying an unholstered handgun in the waistband of his pants. While walking through the store, the gun apparently started to slip out of man’s waistband, so it grabbed it, but inadvertently fired a round.
The bullet struck the man’s leg, then ricocheted off the floor, and became lodged in the ceiling of the store. A second person was struck by some sort of debris and suffered minor injuries. The gun-carrying customer was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, but his injuries were deemed non life-threatening.
Local reporters said there did not appear to be a “no guns allowed” sign outside of the store. Nonetheless, the man was charged with discharging a firearm.
