Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- Last week, the Louisiana House passed pro-gun legislation, House Bill 281 by a 68 to 30 vote. HB 281 has now been sent to the Senate where it was referred to the Senate Judiciary B Committee.

Please contact committee members and urge them to support House Bill 281 when it comes up for a vote.

House Bill 281, sponsored by Rep. Blake Miguez, removes vague language in Louisiana’s existing preemption statute to prevent a patchwork of laws throughout the state that could potentially and unknowingly turn a law-abiding gun owner into a criminal. It is important to note that this bill does not change the places that are currently prohibited under state law.

Again, please contact members of the Senate Judiciary B Committee and urge them to SUPPORT pro-gun preemption legislation, House Bill 281.
