An important safety tip for those with classic single-action revolvers such as the Colt Peacemaker.
Hickok45 covers the practice of downloading the old six-shooter to carry five rounds instead of six for safety due to the lack of a transfer bar or hammer blocks (see= Iver Johnson’s old “Safety Automatic” revolvers). Newer clones of the SAA, such as Ruger’s Vaquero, do have such as system.
