Liberty University is a Christian school, that means you can’t smoke, can’t engage in pre-marital sex, can’t do many things, but here’s one thing you can do.

National Rifle Association Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Wayne LaPierre on Wednesday praised Liberty University for a recent decision allowing eligible students to carry concealed handguns on campus.

Speaking during the private Christian university’s regular thrice-weekly convocation, which was closed to media but streamed online, LaPierre said Liberty is “one of the safest places in the country.”

“The hard facts are, we can’t predict where evil may strike—the next campus, the next church, the next shopping mall or airport. We do know evil will eventually strike again. And if God forbid a monster should walk onto this campus, that evil will be met with the one indisputable fact of liberty: that the surest way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” LaPierre said.

Late last year, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. announced eligible students would be allowed to carry guns anywhere on campus, amending a 2013 policy that allowed them anywhere except residence halls.
