Athens, GA –-(Ammoland.com)- In a strange turn of events, Delta Airlines’ ill-advised decision to sever ties with the National Rifle Association (NRA) has jeopardized the fate of a special interest tax break that was expected to sail through the Senate and save the airline millions of dollars.

Yesterday, conservative businessman and Secretary of State Brian Kemp – who condemned Delta for targeting 2nd Amendment supporters and unequivocally opposed the jet fuel tax exemption – urged state lawmakers to withdraw the controversial tax break and instead pass a sales tax holiday for guns and ammunition.

“Thanks to the efforts of grassroots conservatives throughout our state, the same Senate leaders that took thousands of dollars from Delta Airlines stalled legislation that would have cost taxpayers millions of dollars,” said Kemp.

“Now, it’s time for the Georgia Senate to kill the tax break for Delta and replace it with a sales tax holiday that benefits the same 2nd Amendment supporters that Delta – and other corporate cowards – are publicly shaming.
