Kris ‘Hammer’ Hammerstrom of Kel-Tec gave us a run down of the new Kel-tec CP33 semi-automatic pistol released at SHOT Show 2019 in Las Vegas.
The CP33 holds 33 rounds of .22LR in a patented quad-stacked magazine. The pistol weighs 1.5 pounds and sports a 5.5 inch threaded heavy profile barrel that is suppressor ready. The top of the gun features a full length Picatinny rail to mount optics in case you choose not to use the included fiber optic front and rear sights. Below the barrel is a second shorter Picatinny rail for lights and lasers.
Although the CP33 resembles the PMR30 in shape and size, and features the same crisp trigger, it’s actually closer to the CMR30 in the sense that none of the CP33’s exterior parts cycle during firing. This makes it a great gun for beginners.
The CP33 has an MSRP of $475 and is shipping now. More info can be found on the Kel-Tec website.
