TYRONE, GEORGIA — Coweta County deputies responded to a call of a stolen car busting into an interstate guardrail. They set up a perimeter and found the suspect exiting his vehicle. He foolishly decided to open fire on them and the deputies returned fire, killing him.

According to WDEF News 12, a homeowner reported that an intruder broke into his home. He shot at the suspect but the suspect fled in his vehicle. It was unknown if the suspect had been shot during the encounter. During his flight, he crashed into a guardrail on the interstate and that’s when deputies were first alerted to the grand theft auto in progress.

It didn’t take law enforcement long to track down the suspect. Either he was driving at a high rate of speed when he nailed the guardrail or he was losing blood so fast he couldn’t keep his eyes on the road.

Important note: deputies don’t really care which it is once a bad guy decides to open fire on them. Now, if they really cared to find out who scored the first hit, they’re going to need a coroner to inspect. It’s likely not worth the effort.
