Illinois Turns The Page from Summer to Fall

Illinois –-(Ammoland.com)- The first of September is suddenly upon us and the summer of 2015 seems to be vanishing like a shooting star in the night.

The Illinois hunting season has started and preparations are well under way for deer, duck, and goose season. For the competition shooters, state championships will be held very soon or have just concluded.

The advent of autumn introduces a great time to take classes and enjoy recreational shooting. In the recent past, Illinois had few indoor ranges. The passing of concealed carry legislation has brought a resurgence of both indoor and outdoor ranges. Winter used to be the end of shooting for most people in Illinois.

As the number of indoor ranges continues to grow, shooting is becoming a year round sport. If you live near an indoor range be sure to check it out.

It won’t be long before the 2016 election is here. In fact, the date is only about 14 months away. I recently received a letter from a member complaining that I always say the upcoming election is critical. The reason for that is because the upcoming election is critical. …read more
