Columbus, OH -(AmmoLand.com)- In a battle of the Badger State teams, the Hudson Raider SCTP Shooting Club outshot Wisconsin rivals the Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team to take home the Doubles Trap title in the Junior Varsity Division during competition at the 2016 Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) National Team Championships.

Held July 9-16 at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio, nearly 2,200 athletes representing 28 states faced more than 961,000 clay targets during eight days of competition in the shooting disciplines of Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays.

The Hudson Raiders were led by Reed Meyer, who broke 174 of 200 targets towards the team’s total of 816. Meyer was followed by Tyler Melloy with 173, Cody Cicha with 172, Jordan Persinger with 150 and Jake McCorkel 147. All five shooters are from Hudson.

For the Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team it was Wyatt Strasser of Waterford leading the way breaking 176 targets towards the team’s total of 725. Faith Moerke, Riley Hasler and Dylan Leighton, each of Waterford, added 155, 140 and 126 targets, respectively, while Ross Bluhm of Mukwonago broke 128.
