If the worst comes, you’re going to need to take shelter in a bunker or secret area. How do you prepare for it? This post showcases some things you shouldn’t overlook.

Water…one of life’s most essential elements. After a particularly troubling blizzard I placed several gallons of distilled water down, however, they leaked out and I never had the enthusiasm to replace them. After a bit of researching on Google, I found out I had made the mistake of not using hard-sided refillable containers. Considering the size of our apartment, I decided that the stackable water bricks would be the best option. It is best to try and have at least one gallon of water per person per day. FEMA recommends having at least three days of clean water supply, while some cities give other recommendations. For example, the City Of New York suggests having enough water for at least a week. If you are unsure, try to get as many water bricks as possible without them becoming an inconvenience.
