Team Smith & Wesson Captian Julie Golob walks through the easy way to field strip the new S&W M&P 9 EZ M2.0 Shield for cleaning and maintenance in the above video.
The latest M&P EZ Shield variant was announced last Christmas and joins the company’s popular .380 ACP variant, offering an easy-to-load and easy-to-rack design. Featuring an 8+1 capacity, the 9mm model runs a 3.675-inch barrel, Picatinny-style rail, reversible magazine, tactile loaded chamber indicator, and one-piece, single-action trigger.

The 9mm Shield EZ, like its .380 little brother, includes models with an ambi thumb safety and Crimson Trace Red Laserguard tie-in. The original Shield EZ design debuted in 2018 as a carry-sized personal defense firearm pitched to gun owners who may not have the hand strength required to operate other semi-auto CCWs, some of which have notoriously stout springs.
We talked to Jerry Miculek about the Sheild EZ in 9mm, as well as some other S&W pistols, at SHOT Show last month.
