Horton Vortec RDX Feature Reverse Draw Technology, Easy Assembly

MOGADORE, Ohio -(Ammoland.com)- Horton Crossbow Innovations’ unveiled its new Vortec RDX crossbow model at the 2017 ATA Show in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Following in the footsteps of the award-winning Storm RDX, the Vortec RDX features a lighter, smaller, reverse draw bow assembly and a new stock focused on improved handling and comfort.

“The Vortec RDX offers incredible balance, ideal weight, and optimal speed at a perfect price point,” said TenPoint CEO Rick Bednar. “Starting at only $799, this is our first reverse draw crossbow that speaks to a large portion of the crossbow market. It has the potential to be an all-time great seller.”

The Vortec’s ultra-narrow bow assembly measures a remarkable 9.125-inches axle-to-axle when cocked. Its new machined, lightweight aluminum riser is fitted with the company’s Over-the-Top limb pocket and Zytel Limb Suspension System that both separates and isolates the limbs from direct contact with the riser to reduce sound and vibration.

The pockets hold the bow’s 12-inch 135-pound limbs that are powered by the bow’s NEW Reaper Cam System™ and new Brownell Rhino string and cables.
