Homeowner wrestles burglary suspect for gun
Wichita Police said a burglary suspect is in surgical intensive care Tuesday after forcing his way into a home and getting shot by the homeowner. Police said a 39-year-old man and his girlfriend were sitting at their 1400 E. Morris home when someone knocked on the front door just before 11 p.m. Monday. A 30-year-old man with a gun then forced his way into the home. The homeowner managed to wrestle with the suspect, take the gun and shoot the suspect.
