Homeowner Who Fatally Shot Home Invader Faces Manslaughter Charges

David Hills is a homeowner in Akron Ohio that has been arrested for manslaughter after defending his life and home when two robbers broke into his home and held him at gunpoint. He fatally shot Marcus Glover with a single shot to the head while the other thug was arrested shortly thereafter.

Hills turned himself in on Monday and appeared in court. His bond of $50,000 was posted by a close relative. He has since been release and and is now wearing an ankle bracelet. All of this because he shot an attacker that held him at gunpoint. The body of the dead robber was found in the backyard of a neighbor two houses down.

The story is that Glover and Tart broke into David Hills home on August 7th. Hills was held at gunpoint until he grabbed his gun and panicked the two thugs. As they ran Hills ran after them not wanting to worry about his life and home in the future. He was able to shoot Glover in the head.
