Homeowner Shoots Invader and Car

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —A man shot a burglar who used a crowbar to break into his south DeKalb home on Monday, police said.
The man said he was asleep when someone kicked in the front door of his house on Kings Glen Drive around 11 a.m. The homeowner said he grabbed a gun and went to see what happened, then realized that someone was inside.
“The male heard the entry of the suspect, retrieved a firearm and confronted him in the home,” DeKalb County Police Capt. Steve Fore said.
As the suspect ran to his car, the homeowner shot at him, police said.
