AK-47s are getting a little Hi-Lux love after the optics maker announced the new CMR-762AK close to medium range scope designed specifically Kalashnikovs.
Utilizing the illuminated AVS-CMR-7.62 AK reticle, the CMR-762AK features a MIL-Radian based design. Tailor made to function alongside 7.62x39mm 57-H-231 service rounds, the AVS reticle touts both green or red illumination as well as three total night vision light levels.
The company says the BDC is accurate up to 600 meters. It also offers a 4X setting allowing the BDC tick marks to be used as “1/2-meter wide targets from end to end.” The 30mm tube also delivers increased light gathering ability resulting in better clarity and picture resolution, according to Hi-Lux.
The optics company says it listened to tactical shooters when designing the AK ready CMR, making adjustments as needed.
“Many tactical shooters requested the windage adjustment moved to the left side, and that’s exactly where you’ll find it on the CMR-762AK,” Hi-Lux said in a statement. “It allows the right-handed shooter to make windage adjustment without taking the scope off of the target.”
