Heritage Training and Shooting Center Wins Excellence in Construction Award

Cutting-Edge Facility Recognized for Innovative Design by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Cumberland Valley Chapter

Frederick, MD -(AmmoLand.com)- Heritage Training and Shooting Center, a full-service training center, shooting range and firearms retail store that focuses on safety and education, announced today that its facility received a first place award for Excellence in Construction in the $5 million & under category.

The award was presented by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) Cumberland Valley Chapter. The overarching goal for the center was to create a state-of-the-art facility that was different than other shooting ranges and designed with comfort in mind.

Built by Waynesboro Construction Company, the center features two climate-controlled shooting ranges, a virtual reality simulation lab, education and training classrooms, and a retail store. The main lobby is open and bright, and feels more like a corporate tech company than a shooting range. Separated from the main lobby by soundproof walls, the firing ranges are fully equipped with easy-to-use programmable target systems and ballistic paneled shooting booths.
