When Pam Geller held her Draw Muhammed contest in Garland, Texas — and two wanna-be jihadis mounted a spectacularly unsuccessful attack — the reactions were swift and binary. The event and resulting shootout were portrayed by the commentariat as either a brave defense of America’s First Amendment freedoms or a willful, unnecessary, she-was-asking-for-it provocation. Next up was Friday’s Phoenix Draw Muhammed event that was held outside the very mosque the two perforated Garland shooters frequented. Local Muslims — outraged or not — were smart enough not to take the bait. Now we have guys like Mike Dankert demonstrating what will happen to offended Islamists should they take offense at his rudimentary artistic skills. Are we over this yet?
