Outdoor Industry Gets Behind Event

Las Vegas, NV – -(Ammoland.com)- Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) announce the very successful completion of the 2nd Annual HAVA/NSSF Golf Classic held on Sunday January 17, 2016 at the Bear’s Best Golf Club in Las Vegas.

Hosting 100 golfers from the shooting sports industry, the classic attracted tremendous support as 38 companies entered foursomes or individuals, and 8 companies supported the event as sponsors:

• Presenting Sponsor : NSSF
• Silver Sponsor : Smith & Wesson
• Bronze Sponsors : Glock, Sig Sauer, Taurus, Vista Outdoor, Winchester, Geissele Automatics

In addition, more than a dozen other companies donated raffle prizes or products for the player gift bags.

“Increasing participation in the 2nd year of the Golf Classic was a major goal and the industry again showed its heart for the HAVA cause by increasing sponsor contributions by 160% and the number of players by 84% over last year,” said HAVA Chairman Tom Taylor.
