Washington, DC – (AmmoLand.com) Joseph Hosmer, President Safari Club International Foundation (SCI Foundation) and Scott Throckmorton, CEO Humanitarian Operations Protecting Elephants (H.O.P.E.) jointly announced that SCI Foundation and H.O.P.E. signed a Memorandum of Understanding to join forces in support of anti-poaching, anti-wildlife trafficking, wildlife conservation and humanitarian efforts in Africa. This new partnership will promote the concept of sustainable use in conservation and facilitate effective solutions to end the plight of poaching.

Both 501(c)(3) nonprofit charities share the goal of combatting poaching through community engagement and creating incentives for local people to conserve wildlife. With the authorization of African governments, H.O.P.E. works to provide professional training, advisory, assistance and locating services to anti-poaching units in Africa. SCI Foundation funds and directs worldwide programs dedicated to wildlife conservation and works with both US and African government leaders to facilitate effective wildlife policy.
