Guntec USA introduces Gen II Air-Lok .308 Hand Guard

Guntec USA brings forth a new handguard designed specifically for the .308 platform, releasing the Gen II Air-Lok .308 Hand Guard.
The Gen II Air-Lok Hand Guard offers a T6 aluminum body paired with a proprietary, lightweight barrel nut and M-LOK slots on four sides of the hand guard. The hand guard boasts diamond skeletonized cuts throughout the design to reduce the weight of the overall system.
Measuring 15-inches in overall length, the Gen II Air-Lok Hand Guard provides an internal diameter of 1.32-inches with weight at 9.7-ounces. The Gen II Air-Lok Hand Guard’s system slips over the barrel nut, compressing down against the receiver with four screws. This achieves a tight fit resulting in a monolithic top rail.
“Our customers really enjoyed the first generation of the Air-Lock Series, but we noticed that our customers are requiring and requesting different features,” said Philippe Kent, Vice President of Guntec USA. “The biggest request was for deleting the Picatinny rail and replacing with M-Lok slots across the rail and only leaving Picatinny slots on the front and back of the rail.”
