GunDealio is the latest app to hit the smartphone market, designed to provide a mobile marketing platform for local gun retailers.
The app uses geo-location to reach users, alerting them to the latest discounts and deals on firearms and accessories, events and product news from manufacturers. The marketing power can now be used on a local level to reach consumers within a retailer’s specific region, allowing gun store owners to add personalized messages or ads, announce sales and new products and advertise in-house events and promotions. The app achieves this by designating a “customer zone.” This zone is a 20-mile radius around the partner location by which the app sends customized messages to users within that area.
Creators say mobile marketing generates foot traffic in-store and nearly 70 percent of that is due to marketing from a mobile device.
“The most important piece of the marketing puzzle is sales,” Gun Talk Media’s VP of Sales and Marketing Ryan Gresham said in a press release. “Retail activation at stores through geotargeting and mobile messaging can help close the sales loop.”
