Great Day For IL Gun Owners! Democrats’ SB1657 D.R.T.!

Illinois – -(Ammoland.com)- Thanks to Governor Rauner’s veto and the dedicated work of Illinois gun owners, the bill designed to close gun stores by adding tons of burdensome and duplicate regulations on IL gun shops is DRT (DEAD RIGHT THERE)!

Wednesday was a great day for Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day – IGOLD! The weather cooperated and the turn out was good. Estimates of the crowd size ranged from 1,000 to 2,500. The deadline on the gun dealer licensing veto passed with no action. We were all on hand to see Sen. Don Harmon cede victory to Governor Rauner – and the Governor’s veto of SB1657 Gun Dealer Licensing stands. The bill is officially D.R.T. – dead right there!

This has been a brutal legislative session for all of us. It seems like we have been fighting off the barrage of bad gun bills forever but so far, we have held off most all of them.

So, take a breath and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back!!!
