Today’s post wins our irresponsible gun owner award for the day, even though this incident too place a little but in the past.

Regardless, it’s resurrected on the interwebs over the past few days and we found it worth a share. There are, indeed, gun owners out there that don’t have much for brains.

The images and short story were posted on a forum in 2017. The images are not for the faint of heart, so you’ve been warned;

This guy and his co workers were discussing whether a steel toe boot would withstand a round from a .45, so what do do you think would be the best way to test this theory? YUP, you guessed it. Good thing he wasn’t testing his hard hat.

The following images were the outcome of this stupidity, and they’re grizzly. Proceed with caution.
