Ohio-based Hi-Point has been teasing their new 10mm carbine since last summer, and it’s now available, but how does it shoot?
In the above video, Jeff Quinn with Gun Blast does a good job of walking the viewer through the “dandy little 10mm” including some range time, covering features, ammo digestion and his thoughts.
The budget pistol caliber carbine maker’s new chambering comes complete with a threaded barrel and a choice between two different finishes. The 1095TS features a last round lock back and a rubber cheek rest in addition to the factory threaded barrel which is ready to accept muzzle devices and suppressors. Like the rest of their line, the carbine comes with a 10-round mag made, as Jeff says, “from a substance named steel.”
MSRP is $389 in black on black or $439 for the Realtree Edge camo. The price point for the basic model is about $75 higher than the company’s banner 9mm carbine and $40 more than the .45ACP variants.
