Glenn Eller Finishes Fourth at Pan American Games

Toronto, Ontario, CAN -(AmmoLand.com)- Glenn Eller finished in fourth place in Men’s Double Trap today at the Pan American Games.

Eller, the 2011 Pan American Games champion and Pan Am Qualification and Finals-record holder qualified for the semifinal in first place with a score of 133 targets. In the semifinal, Eller (Houston, Texas) tied for third with Enrique Brol Cardenas of Guatemala and Luiz Fernando Graca of Brazil with 26 targets. The three athletes would then go to a shootoff with Brol Cardenas and Eller advancing to the bronze-medal round 10 targets each to Graca’s nine.

In the bronze-medal match, Eller faltered early, dropping three targets in his first six pairs. Though he shot a straight none pairs the rest of the match, Eller was unable to recover from the deficit. Enrique Brol Cardenas took the bronze medal, 29-26. Enrique’s brother, Hebert Brol Cardenas also of Guatemala, won the gold medal and Sergio Pinero of the Dominican Republic won silver.
