While Magnum Research’s Desert Eagle is popular on the range and in Hollywood, you don’t see too many of them in competitions. To help change that up, the crew at Polenar Tactical appeared at a local IPSC match to give them a spin.
The guns are flashy, on both sides of the muzzle, and blow rings of fire in the enclosed space. Also, their recoil is a bit stout. Nonetheless, they do get on target. As for the ruling from the commissioner, only the Eagle Compact, Baby Eagle, Baby Desert Eagle III are listed on ISPC’s Production division, not the full-sized Deagle, so there is that.
Holsters are by ANR and look pretty sweet. Eyepro is by Ray-Ban, which may not be certified safety glasses, so keep that in mind before heading to the range.
