Gifford’s Gun Control Group Caught in Flat Out Lie in Ad Fighting NC Purchase Permit Law

This ad comes on the heels of a story we just reported on with Carol Bowne being stabbed to death while waiting for her gun purchase permit to clear.

And now Gabby Gifford’s gun control group with the the greatest misnomer of all time — Americans for Responsible Solutions — is fighting a bill in North Carolina that would have possibly saved Bowne’s life in New Jersey. Bowne waited for more than 4 weeks for her purchase permit to clear, and a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend did not stop him from killing her.

Now the gun control group (they prefer “gun safety” group) is running an attack ad in North Carolina to try to say that House Bill 562 will do away with background checks, all while ignoring what the bill ACTUALLY does.
