Georgia Senate Passes Campus Carry
By Jenn Jacques
The Georgia Senate passed HB 859, the campus carry bill, by a vote of 37-17. The bill will allow legal concealed carry permit holders to possess firearms on all public colleges in Georgia.
The vote followed an tempestuous two-hour floor debate over the constitutionality, common sense and fears of allowing students and faculty members to carry concealed guns on campus.
Twitter lit up like a Christmas tree at the news:

Oh, so we can have guns on college campuses, but we can’t have mimosas before 12:30pm. Yep, makes total sense. #gapol
