I recently reviewed KCT’s MOLLE-Link holster. It’s a fine little rig, and definitely my favorite way of sticking a pistol to a MOLLE-backed rig of any sort. KCT was also nice enough to make up a matching magazine carrier for my upcoming race through the desert. They call it the Dual Carrier Unit (D.C.U) and it works pretty well out in the field . . .

Like all the other KCT pieces of gear, it can be had in twenty-five different colors including this cornea punching orange. And like the KCT holster I tested out, it is a well built piece of gear that attaches to MOLLE with relative ease. Once it is snapped into place, it isn’t going anywhere.

They make a version without the pistol mag carrier attached that got sent along as well. In the interest of saving electrons, I’m not doing a separate review, other than to mention that it exists and it works very well. I only own PMAGs and steel magazines for my AR 15 and both fit nicely into both carriers. There seems to be a decent amount of friction holding things in place, but not “snap” …read more
