Former Miss Alabama Doesn’t Feel Sad For Fallen Cops-Calls Dallas Shooter A ‘Martyr’

“I can’t help but feeling like the shooter was a martyr. And I know it’s not the right way to feel because nobody deserves to lose their lives,” Kalyn Chapman James, the first African American to win the Miss Alabama title, says in the video posted Sunday on Facebook.

She continues on a lengthy, emotion filled live-feed for her social media followers. Half justifying, half apologizing for the way she feels.

Not only does she refer to Micah X. Johnson as a ‘martyr’- she also expressed thoughts on the officers that were murdered saying, “I don’t feel sad for the officers that lost their lives..”

Whether truly heartfelt, or a sad attempt at being relevant after her 15 minutes were up. Her words are disturbing, but not as disturbing as the comments and support that accompanied the video. A quick scroll will show countless numbers of people who feel the exact same.
