Eric with IV8888 reaches back in the tribal knowledge data bank to take a look at the lost art of firing an arrow from a gun.
First, they go old school and use a .410 bolt-action shotgun, do a cut load removing the shot, then use some .44 black powder wad to form a cushion for a crossbow bolt sans fletching.
Then they use a Sam Yang Venturi Wing Shot PCP shotgun with an air bolt system that basically does the same thing but in a more production variant.
