For the person who has everything: how about a golden Python? (Photos: RIAC)
Vintage Colt Custom shop lineage? Check. Chambered in .357 magnum? Double check. Gold plated with a 6-inch vent rib barrel? Oh, you know that’s a check.
On Friday, Rock Island Auction Company is featuring the above 1980-dated Colt Python in their June Regional Auction. While the Python– arguably the Cadillac of Colt’s classic line of “snake guns,” was introduced in the 1950s, the standard catalog only allowed for various blued, nickel and stainless finishes– a prospect that makes this factory custom job very special indeed.

How special? Well, RIAC has it listed with an estimated price of between $3,500 and $4,500 but includes the companion, if aging, Colt box complete with the Custom Shop label.
To see what else Rock Island has up for grabs, check out the preview video of the offerings below, and be prepared to nerd out.
