For Biden, Demand For Smart Gun Not Only Anti-Gun Nonsense

Former Vice President Joe Biden is currently in the driver’s seat with regard to the Democratic primary. While that doesn’t mean he’ll be the party’s nominee, necessarily, he certainly is the candidate with the broadest support among party voters. So far.

That’s impressive considering the outright nonsense he’s been spewing on topics like guns.

While all the candidates are pushing gun control to some extent, Biden’s push is more ridiculous simply because it actually makes no sense.

“We should have smart guns,” Biden said. “No gun should be able to be sold unless your biometric measure could pull that trigger. It’s within our right to do that. We can do that. Our enemy is the gun manufacturers, not the NRA.”

While prototypes of guns with integrated biometric locks exist, none are currently for sale on the American market. Biden’s proposal would effectively outlaw the sale of every firearm on store shelves in the United States.

Not only that, but he also appears to back Rep. Eric Swalwell’s assault weapon ban, a measure that would call for a buyback on all AR-15 and similar rifles, in part, with this bit of nonsense:
