South Carolina-based FN came to SHOT Show last week with several new additions to their 2020 catalog including a 6.5 Creedmoor SCAR.
The caliber addition to FN’s popular and combat-proven rifle line came after the company prototyped the 6.5CM in the FN MK 20 SSR after USSOCOM announced plans in 2018 to explore the cartridge for future use.
Available this year on the commercial market, the FN SCAR 20S in 6.5CM will be offered in both FDE and black. (Photos: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
Like the 7.62 NATO SCAR 20S, the 6.5CM model uses an extended monolithic receiver and comes standard with a Geissele Super SCAR trigger, SSR precision stock that is adjustable for length of pull and comb height, as well as the Hogue grip.
Both the FN SCAR 20S in 7.62 and 6.5 Creedmoor accept the 10- or 20-round FN SCAR 17S mags.

Besides the SCAR 20S in 6.5CM, FN also had a prototype MK 48 Mod 2 machine gun chambered in the same caliber.
