FN Releases 509 Midsize MRD Pistol in Signature FDE

Seemingly ever since the introduction of the SCAR, FN rifles and pistols always have one thing in common: They come in the company’s signature Flat Dark Earth. For many FN fans, that color represents the company and its commitment to producing military-grade firearms. We’ve simply come to expect it. They also happen to look really awesome. And now fans of the FN 509 Midsize MRD have a variant in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) as well.

FN 509 Midsize MRD FDE Details

The optics-ready 509 Midsize MRD FDE comes equipped with the company’s low-profile optics-mounting system. Only this variant puts the system into a smaller frame, one easier concealed.

The FN 509 family of pistols feature a striker-fired system. Each pistol comes chambered in 9mm. Additionally, each pistol features FN’s signature cold-hammer-forged barrel with recessed target crown. It includes enhanced slide serrations for easier slide manipulation. Meanwhile, aggressive grip texturing helps ensure a secure grip while shooting.
