FN Releases 509 Midsize MRD in Signature Flat Dark Earth

Seemingly ever since the introduction of the SCAR, FN rifles and pistols always have one thing in common. They come in the company’s signature Flat Dark Earth. For many FN fans, that color represents the company and its commitment to producing military-grade firearms. We’ve simply come to expect it. They also happen to look really awesome. And now fans of the FN 509 Midsize MRD have a variant in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) as well.

FN 509 Midsize MRD FDE

The optics-ready 509 Midsize MRD FDE comes equipped with the company’s low-profile optics-mounting system. Only this variant puts the system into a smaller frame, one easier concealed.

The FN 509 family of pistols feature a striker-fired system. Each pistol comes chambered in 9mm. Additionally, each pistol features FN’s signature cold-hammer-forged barrel with recessed target crown. It includes enhanced slide serrations for easier slide manipulation. Meanwhile, aggressive grip texturing helps ensure a secure grip while shooting.
