Florida – -(AmmoLand.com)- Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 10 AM – 5 PM. Florida Carry will hold its Second Annual Open Carry Fishing Adventure at Ocala Tuscawilla Park 829 NE Sanchez Ave, Ocala, FL 34470.

This event is held during a “free fishing” weekend, which means you can fish at the park without a fishing license.

And under Florida State Law you can legally carry, while fishing (or going to or from), your unconcealed pistol or rifle… even without a Florida CWP!

The irony is that under state law a citizen who is licensed to carry a firearm would be arrested and jailed just for walking around the same park while not fishing, if any part of their firearm became visible from underneath their clothing.

A free citizen’s manner of carry should not be dictated by the government. If you are licensed to carry, then you should have the freedom to carry your firearm hidden or not hidden.
