FIRST LOOK: Franchi Instinct LX Over-Under Shotgun

Franchi recently announced the debut of its latest over-under shotgun line, the Instinct LX. Delivering best-in-class ergonomics and upgraded featured in a beautifully styled shotgun, according to Franchi, the Instinct LX features both 12- and 20-gauge variants.

Franchi Instinct LX Features

The Instinct LX utilizes an all-steel, color-case hardened receiver. Moreover, the receiver displays engraved hunting scenes with inlayed gold birds, matched with a gold-plated trigger. Meanwhile, AA-grade satin walnut adds to the aesthetics in a Prince of Wales stock complimented by the Schnabel-type forend and rounded pommel with cut checkering.

Additionally, the vented barrels are finished gloss blued. Further, extended choke tubes enable quick changes for optimal patterning afield. The Instinct LX comes with improved cylinder, full and modified chokes. A choke tool is also included.

The vent rib and red fiber optic front sight present a solid sight picture for shooters. Also, a safety-mounted selector switch enables shooters to choose which barrel they wish to fire first.

Above all, Franchi’s new over-under delivers an heirloom quality hunting shotgun that features plenty of American styling. A protective case ships with the gun, while a seven-year warranty adds further protection.
