Firearms Policy Coalition Pushes Back Against Flurry of Gun Control Measures

FPC CALLS TUESDAY APRIL 19th LEGISLATIVE HEARINGS “GUN-MEGEDDON”

Sacramento, CA -(AmmoLand.com)- Firearms Policy Coalition is rallying its members and supporters to fight what it is a calling “Gun-Megeddon.”

Tuesday, April 19th will showcase 10 Gun control measures in the the California Legislature that taken as a whole, would devastate the civil rights of California’s law-abiding, gun-owning, shooting, sporting and firearms industry communities.

Craig Deluz, Director of Legislative & Public Affairs for the Firearms Policy Coalition commented, “Gun owners are some of the most highly scrutinized and regulated people in our society. They are tired of being treated like second-class citizens, simply because they choose to exercise their constitutional rights.”

Measures to heard in various committee on Tuesday, April 19th include proposals that would require retroactive bans on firearms, firearms parts, restrictions on ammunition, the expansion of secret firearms seizure warrants, recording and data storage of the facial features of firearms purchasers, criminalize victims of a firearm theft, and create a patchwork quilt of local carry licenses, putting licensees at risk.
